Create a Life You Were Created to Live!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
I really like playing softball but I really don’t like to swim, so why do I love one and not the other?  Do I try harder to like softball than I do swimming?  I find that we love the things we do just because, so did God create us all in a unique way to enjoy certain things more than others?

I started praying about this nearly 18 years ago and God has been showing me things that I really love ever since.  As I put the things in my life that God revealed to me, I continue to love living every day more and more.  Our lives need to be balanced, so enjoying my life means my devotional time, my church, my job, my home, my entertainment, etc.

At first all this seemed to be “all about me,” but as I was doing the things I enjoyed, God used me right there.  I found myself sharing with a stranger that I met out ice fishing of how God freed me from 25+ years of drug addiction and hating my life.  There have been many times I’ve shared my faith and testimony on a softball field, at the bowling alley, out golfing, out biking, walking, and so on.

We have all been created to have a function in the body of Christ and to be used for His glory. I believe God can use us best when we are living the life He created us to live.

What are the things he created you to love so you can say goodbye to the old life and say hello to the new life? Pray about it!
